Extraordinary Attorney Minami (2026)

Minamida Minami, who has autism spectrum disorder (ASD), graduates at the top of her class from the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law and also achieves the highest score on the bar examination. However, when she begins searching for a job, she runs up against the barrier of society’s prejudice toward people with autism spectrum disorder. Despite her outstanding credentials, she is unable to secure a position at any law firm. Then, for a certain reason, she is hired by Hirokawa & Howard Law Firm, one of the top firms in the industry. However, because Minami has difficulty reading other people’s emotions and communicating with them, as well as adapting to unexpected situations, those around her view her with prejudice, believing that there is no way she could possibly deal directly with clients. Minami herself is also uncertain whether she is capable of working as a lawyer. Even so, armed with her love of the law and her extraordinary memory, and with the help of her colleagues, she takes on one difficult case after another. At the same time, a succession of events that profoundly shake Minami’s life awaits her, including experiencing romantic feelings for the first time and discovering secrets hidden within her family….
